Looks like the folks at TurboTax liked the results of last year’s Super Bowl commercial. Remember the ad they ran during Super Bowl XLVIII titled “Love Hurts” with narration by John C. Reilly? They took a pretty big risk, devoting the first 45 seconds of their minute-long spot to humor, and only the last few seconds to their actual brand and its services:

While last year TurboTax released their Super Bowl commercial early, this year the company is keeping its Big Game ad under wraps. But based on the advertising they have already begun rolling out this year, including this spot (featuring a bit of voiceover work by William H. Macy!) that ran during another of the biggest football events of the year, the Rose Bowl, we’re pretty sure comedy is in the cards again.
