As it turns out, you’re not the only person who loves Super Bowl commercials. And CBS knows it. In fact, in the run up to Super Bowl 50, the broadcaster will be airing not one, not three, but TWO shows that are all about Super Bowl commercials!
The first, titled Super Bowl’s Greatest Commercials 2016, will air at 8 PM Eastern Time on the Tuesday before Super Bowl 50. The program will be hosted by TV star Katharine McPhee and sports analyst Boomer Esiason (sorry, Boomer, but Ms. McPhee is the draw here. Oh, and the Super Bowl ads) and will take a look at classic Super Bowl advertising dating back as much as half a century. Viewer votes and a team of editors will both be factored in to select the ten best Super Bowl ads ever.
The second program will be CBS’ Super Bowl’s Greatest Commercial All-Star Countdown, which is set to air at 8 PM EST on Saturday, February 6th, 2016. (That’s just hours before the Super Bowl! Yep.) This second show will be all about the Top 10 Best Super Bowl Commercials as chosen during the Super Bowl’s Greatest Commercials 2016 mere days earlier; stay tuned for controversy and complaints over the selections no matter what they are. Also tune in to this second show into it to see some sneak peaks at Super Bowl commercials set to air the next day.
