When you let Bill Nye the Science Guy go nuts in the lab, you are going to end up with two things: a serious mess, a decent Super Bowl commercial. In this case, it’s a Persil Super Bowl commercial.
It’s not easy to make cleaning products interesting enough for a Super Bowl broadcast, but this ad does an admirable job.
Of course, frankly Bill Nye is a magnetic enough gentleman to sell you a bag of sand.
And the link between science and cleaning makes sense, so at least the setup of the ad is more sensible than a lot of the Super Bowl ad content out there these days.
