Yeah, i don’t know if you noticed (you probably didn’t) that Richard Dean Anderson was in every single one of those pepsi macgruber commercials. Richard Dean Anderson IS MacGyver. Stop bitching about the environment and the credit crunch and pay a little closer attention.
Well.. I am assuming by “could not get McGyver” you mean the rights to the name because Richard Dean Anderson is in the commercial. (He played in the original series.) But I am pretty sure the economy had little impact to the name since this parody has been a Saturday Night Live skit that recently aired. And I’d be surprised if Pepsi didn’t pay Loren MIchaels for use of the spoof.
Isn’t the old guy the original McGuyver?
McGyver was on the commercial. He was the other guy only he’s put on a lot mor weight then when in the series.
mcgruber making lifesaving inventions out of household materials!!mcgruber!!!

Mcgruber is actually a featured series on SNL. Go to their site and check it out.
If you’re dropping that kind of cash for the commercial in the first place, I doubt that there’s any lack of funds for the talent.
BTW, loves me some MacGuyver!
that’s hysterical! I love mcgruber! I had no idea that was the original mcguyver in the commercial, i kept thinking “who is he?”. thanks! will forte is soooo funny in that skit!!
