Let's be clear, the Pro-Life folks are not crying that they want their right to not have abortions or even to tell others to not have abortions, they already have those rights. What they want is for the the gov't., as a matter of law, to take away the right of all women to have the "choice", to be able to decide for themselves whether they want to terminate a pregnancy or not. To deny women their individual, personal right to do as they wish with their own bodies denies them their personal freedom. To do so would mean we are no longer "America, land of the free". If we're to continue as a great nation, we cannot have groups of people using the gov't and laws to force their religious values and beliefs on the rest of us. Don't you get that?

How the heck was that commercial a "Fundamentalist Rant"? Give me a break people. Just because some people choose an abortion for one reason or another, you want to slam someone who risked their life to assure their child had an opportunity to actually grow up? I don't understand that position. We all may have differences of opinion, but being happy that she made a choice she knew would risk her life but give her child a chance to live is NOT a fundamentalist rant. She made a choice and the fruits of that choice has become a successful college football player who has had some success. That is it...No you are going to He(double hockey sticks) for having one!

As a new American citizen of 6 months, I am surprise (but not shocked) at how much we relish watching low moral garbage on television but mention something positive like God or religion then the uprising occurs. Since we don't really want Him or His teachings as part of our daily lives, maybe God should just turn of HIS air, sun and moon and just leave.

Thanks to CBS and Focus on the Family for standing up for life.and speaking out for the unborn babies who cannot speak for themselves.. All those who have been saying this is a political ad need to remember that this is not political for Tim Tebow and his mother....it is personal...their own story that will remind us that life is a precious gift.

I, myself, was in a very similar position as Tim's mother and today I have a 19 year old son! I am so very thankful and blessed to have him in my life and would NEVER have wanted it any other way! I am sure my son feels the same.....as do each and everyone of YOUR mother's do!! So I say, "AMEN" to CBS for finally allowing another voice to be heard publicly and not be shot down. Frankly, in the world we live in today where we have gay rights, pro-abortion and other religious rights and affiliations being shoved down our throats it is quite refreshing to hear from the "other side" for a change.....after all, what is so wrong with the preservation of a life for goodness sakes!! Kudos to Tim and his mom for having the courage to stand up for what they believe in and kudos to Focus on the Family for backing them!!....(you too CBS!!)...can't wait to see!!! :)

Congratulations CBS!!! It is a bold move in your part to have this ad as part of your broadcast. I will do my best to encourage ALL of my friends to watch. Finally, a network standing for the values that really matter. And a "hats off" to Mrs. Teebow for making a good decision for someone who couldn't make the choice for himself. (A decision that I am glad my mom made, too!!)

I feel this could be a start to some interesting conversations, if people could talk about this subject without going off the deep end. Some of the previous comments touch on the real issue more than anyone in the government has the guts to. The problem is should a network allow a hot button issue be aired without an opposing side getting a chance to respond. In my opinion, pro-choice and pro-life are about as opposite as apples and calculators. Pro-choice is, in my opinion, all about the government telling us what we can and can't do. Pro-life is, in my opinion, about honoring life from conception to death. Is it odd to anyone else that neither moniker has the word abortion in it? How about if we changed the names of the 2 camps to Anti-Abortion and Pro-Abortion, I wonder how many people are Pro-Abortion? What needs to be done is to offer options to the mothers who are contemplating an abortion. Allow private organizations to pay for "all" of the medical bills of the mother and the child. Give the mothers incentives to not have an abortion. You cannot stop abortions by making it illegal, look what happened with alcohol and marijuana. Hopefully CBS airing this commercial will spark some debate on how to alleviate the problem, abortions, and our politicians will take note. I pray that there will never be another abortion, but allowing the government we have and had to making any intelligent decisions is a HUGE mistake.

Tim Tebow and his mom ~ again what is the problem?
If you don't like Tim Tebow, just leave the room for 30 seconds problem solved.

Tebow has a right to express his views, no matter how controversial so long as he pays for the spot and it is tastefully done. From what I've heard, he's fulfilled both requirements in his ad, so it should be allowed to stay.

Anyone else has the right to do the same, and NOW or Planned Parenthood had the same opportunity to broadcast a counter-ad, but they chose not to do so.

I wish Congress showed the same amount of tact while discussing difficult issues.
