The first Super Bowl LII Jeep commercial, titled “The Road,” was middling at best, showing off a trusted SUV from a trusted brand but not really impressing or amusing us or anything like that. Their second 2018 Super Bowl ad, however, called “Jeep Jurassic,” was a better outing.
In “Jeep Jurassic” we see actor Jeff Goldblum reprising his role from the now classic film Jurassic Park… or so we think. It turns out Goldblum is simply imagining himself fleeing a t-rex thanks to his trusty Jeep Wrangler, while in fact he’s sitting at the dealership day dreaming.
The biggest reveal for many from this ad won’t be that you can buy a Jeep if you want, though, but that the aforementioned film franchise is coming back again this summer with Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom.
