Heads up, folks: grab the tissues before watching the 2018 Hyundai Super Bowl commercial. The ad features a number of people who have apparently been selected at random while entering the Super Bowl LII arena, but it turns out they were pulled aside because they are Hyundai owners.
Why?
Because Hyundai donates a lot of money to childhood cancer research, and these unsuspecting people are about to meet a few cancer survivors who beat the odds (and the disease) thanks to some help from Hyundai.
Now, we believe that the patients are real, and the people pulled from the security lines may or may not be actors, though it seems when they’re not, the commercial makes it clear by saying something like “THESE ARE NOT ACTORS.” But regardless, the Hyundai Super Bowl LII spot is touching, and they definitely do a lot for cancer research, so hats off.
