Admittedly, “The Morgan Freeman vs. Peter Dinklage Mountain Dew Doritos Face Off Super Bowl Teaser” is a mouthful. But omitting any of those words would fail to do justice to what is surely going to be an epic moment in Super Bowl commercial history. The brief teaser shows a well-dressed Morgan Freeman face off against an equally dapper Dinklage in a mysteriously dark room. (Or dark sounds stage, to be accurate.)
The tension between the two stars is clear, and we soon learn the reason: Peter Dinklage, it seems, has been hired to support the new Doritos Blaze snack chip, while Freeman is representing Mountain Dew Ice. Why there is any strife between these two products, which will clearly be a perfect match in the eyes of many, we will have to wait until the Super Bowl LII broadcast to figure out.
