One of the most exciting parts of every Super Bowl – second to the commercials and, arguably, the actual game itself – is the Super Bowl Halftime Show.

This year (as in many years past) the Big Game’s big show is being sponsored by Pepsi, and it will feature the singer-songwriter Bruno Mars (whose actual name is Pete Hernandez, by the way). Mars may not be as well-known across multiple generations as past performers such as Bruce Springsteen, Madonna, or Michael Jackson, but for younger viewers the show should be a huge hit.

And we’re predicting some surprise guests will pop up, too. Maybe Ke$sha, or maybe someone else who uses non-alphabetical characters to spell their names. Or maybe we’re wrong about the guest appearance thing, ask us on February 3rd after Super Bowl XLVIII is one for the record books.
