This Super Bowl spot had us convinced it was a trailer for a movie we hadn’t heard of yet until suddenly a Maserati came blasting onto the screen. And we have to say that this ad, titled “Strike,” definitely got us excited! And then we remembered how much a Maserati costs, and then we were no longer quite so excited.

The Maserati Super Bowl spot was cinematic, surprising, and it had a charming kid as the narrator. So overall, that’s a win.

But come on, Maserati, you’re really just rubbing it in: anyone who can afford that brand is already well aware the vehicle exists. The other 120 million of us are just kind of pissed off right now.
