We’re glad Hyundai choose to run their “Dad’s Sixth Sense” commercial first, because we already told you how we feel about the other spot they put together for Super Bowl XLVIII (hint… not good).
This ad is a success because it is amusing, it is touching, and it also tells you something specific about the car being marketed.
Too many Super Bowl commercials merely tell a funny little story or describer a certain type of personality (as in “A real man drives a truck!”) and then throws their brand name up on the screen. Hyundai actually tells you about one of their car’s features. We like that.
