Pepsi finds out the hard way that holding a contest to make your Super Bowl commercial does frequently result in terrible Super Bowl commercials. This one is the worst of the bunch, with everything from the top down being absolutely horrible. But we digress! Maybe next year Pepsi MAX should have some ground rules for the Crash The Super Bowl contest, like “only allow good commercials to be voted on” or even “don’t hold a Crash The Super Bowl contest”. It’s a shame that after so many years Pepsi and Doritos are pretty much locked in on this contest, because the entries are typically case studies in why you should always hire a professional.
