It would have been nice if Lexus’ Super Bowl XLIX commercial titled “Make Some Noise” also made some sense. This commercial features plenty of people dancing around and splashing in random puddles of water, but it doesn’t do much at all for the vehicle itself.

OK, so the vehicle is a hybrid, it’s got a turbo charger, and… if you drive it, you will apparently be seen and heard?

Visually, this is not a bad commercial, from a camera-work and editorial standpoint. But as far as what it does for the brand and vehicle it’s meant to promote, it’s next-to useless.

Why did Lexus spend $4.5 million on airtime alone for this spot? The biggest offense of all here is how forgettable “Make Some Noise” is, and that is just unforgiveable for a Super Bowl commercial!
