If you want to see a serious indictment of current American culture, the Weight Watchers Super Bowl commercial is actually a great place to start, odd as that might sound. Their ad, titled “All You Can Eat,” shows just how much of the food industry is centered around unhealthy eats served up in massive portions with seconds and thirds on the way anytime you want.
“All You Can Eat” doesn’t exactly make you feel that good about being an American, frankly. But it does make two points:
First, our country has a problem with our relationship with food. Second, there are options out there.
While the Weight Watchers Super Bowl commercial certainly hits heavy with their message, at least we know they really do mean well. The more people they can help lead a healthy life the better, so go ahead and use some tough tactics if you need.
