The Super Bowl LII Febreze commercial is little more than one punch line recycled about a half dozen times, and in case you haven’t watched it yet, it’s a bunch of people saying “bleep don’t stink” with deadpan delivery. But the ad works; the premise is funny enough, the actors pull it off, and there’s one more little joke slipped in at the end. (The question asked by superimposed text, for the record.)

While this isn’t the first Febreze Super Bowl commercial, it’s still surprising to see the brand advertising in a broadcast where their half-minute ad costs $7.7 million dollars.

Are there really that enough malodorous bathrooms out there to justify that level of ad buying? Actually, on second, thought, don’t answer that….
