The 2016 Super Bowl broadcast won’t feature the Chiefs, the Packers, the Steelers, or the Seahawks, but it will feature the triumphant return of Michelob Ultra, the low calorie, low carb (and relatively low flavor profile) super light beer last seen during the 2010 Super Bowl. (Remember who played in that game, Super Bowl 44? No? Saints vs. Colts, Saints FTW. FYI.)
We’re not sure what to expect from this year’s Michelob Ultra Super Bowl ad, but we’re guessing it will be lots of lithe athletes sweating profusely then enjoying beer. And we’re sure we won’t be seeing a certain element that played prominently in the brand’s 2010 Super Bowl commercial…
The last time Michelob Ultra ran a Super Bowl ad, it featured none other than wildly disgraced cyclist and generally loathed human being Lance Armstrong:
And in case you were wondering, yes, the Michelob brand is owned by Anheuser-Busch InBev, just like Budweiser, Shock Top, your house, and most of Kansas (probably).
