For the Taco Bell Super Bowl LII commercial, we’ll finally learn why this venerable fast food chain has never before offered French fries. As it turns out, it wasn’t that they didn’t want to, it was actually a massive global cover up involving spies, government operatives, and all sorts of shady dealings.
Or so we are led to believe based on the trailer for the new action film… Web of Fries.
OK, so really Taco Bell didn’t offer fries before because they’re a Mexican food restaurant chain, and French fries aren’t a traditional Mexican food.
But hey, Nacho Fries? That works. Or so the company hopes, because they just spent millions promoting the new product via Super Bowl LII advertising.
